Kelvin MacKenzie interviewed me on YouTube.

Kelvin MacKenzie is a journalist who was editor of "The Sun" newspaper from 1981 to 1994. He now conducts interviews on a YouTube channel "UK Live."
On 30 June, I was contacted by his producer who asked if I was willing to be interviewed about a story in the Daily Mail "Heathrow security officer who was told to remove Palestine badge claims it is same as being asked to take off her hijab as she sues for discrimination."
As I am always happy to share my views, I agreed. I am always careful about how I am described, selecting from my various roles depending on the subject matter. For this topic, I asked to be described as Director, The Campaign for Shared European Values.
You watch the interview below. As you will see, my description never reached Kelvin, who seemed to have to guess who I was! Since we didn't disagree about the story, he moved on to something that he found more interesting, which was the Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester.
I explained how the Middle East conflict after the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 has not affected our attendance. See also my article "We must not import the Israel / Palestine conflict into the UK."
